Gareth Bale has revealed that Real Madrid are full of confidence following Saturday's 6-0 victory at Espanyol in La Liga.
Los Blancos opened their new league campaign with a goalless draw at Sporting Gijon, but have since beaten Real Betis 5-0 and Espanyol by six to move onto seven points for the season.
Bale has said that the three points against Espanyol were even more vital due to Barcelona's trip to Atletico Madrid, which ended in a 2-1 win for the visitors.
"The most important thing was to keep winning. We knew there was going to be a big game between Barcelona and Atletico Madrid this weekend and that somebody was bound to drop points so we had to take advantage of that," Bale told the Daily Mail.
"It was a bit strange with the transfer window shutting so late but we have been focused since day one. It was not the greatest result from the first game but we have come back very strong with a 5-0 and a 6-0. We are feeling confident and looking strong."
Bale has scored twice and registered three assists in three league games this season.
