Iker Casillas: 'I want to end career with Real Madrid'

Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas once again insists that he wants to end his professional career at the Bernabeu.

Spanish goalkeeper Iker Casillas has reaffirmed his desire to end his professional career with Real Madrid.

It has been a difficult couple of years for the stopper, whose performances have been called into question on a number of occasions.

The 33-year-old had to play second fiddle to Diego Lopez last season, but Casillas has since regained the gloves at the Bernabeu.

Real Madrid are said to be lining up Manchester United's David de Gea as a replacement for the long-serving stopper, but Casillas has insisted that he wants to 'end his career at the Bernabeu'.

"I want to stay at Real Madrid until 2017, which is when my contract expires. I want to end my career with Real Madrid," Casillas told his club's official website.

Casillas's words came after Tuesday's Champions League quarter-final first leg at Atletico Madrid, which ended goalless.
