Real Madrid midfielder Xabi Alonso has praised Asier Illarramendi ahead of the latter's expected move to the club.
Los Blancos are reportedly close to agreeing a €30m (£25m) deal for the Real Sociedad youngster, and Alonso has talked up the talent of the 23-year-old midfielder.
"He's a good player who would be an excellent addition at Real Madrid," Alonso told AS.
"But I prefer not to say anything more [until the deal is complete]."
Illarramendi will become Madrid's second purchase this summer following the arrival of Isco from Malaga earlier this month.
