DeAndre Yedlin is hopeful that the experience he gained of playing at the 2014 World Cup will help him make a smooth transition to Tottenham Hotspur.
Spurs signed the 21-year-old from Seattle Sounders in the summer following a string of impressive displays for the United States in Brazil.
The full-back will link up with the Premier League outfit ahead of next season, but he says that all his attention at the present time is on helping his current club achieve success.
"Right now, I'm just trying to focus on the MLS season," the Daily Mail quotes him as saying. "I think I grew a lot [at the World Cup]. Now I know I can do it.
"It gave me a big amount of confidence. Hopefully I can that into the rest of the season and my next step with Tottenham. It's an honour to be called into any camp. I'm looking forward to getting back and playing with all the guys. It's been a lot of fun."
Seattle lead the way at the top of the Western Conference standings.
