Paris Saint-Germain were among seven clubs to have been offered the chance to sign Dele Alli from Tottenham Hotspur, according to a report.

Tottenham Hotspur reportedly offered seven Ligue 1 clubs the chance to sign Dele Alli before his deadline day transfer to Everton.

Having struggled to make a name for himself under Antonio Conte, the playmaker joined Frank Lampard's side on a permanent deal until 2024 just before the window closed on Monday.

Alli's transfer brought an end to a seven-year stint at Tottenham since arriving from MK Dons in 2015, and he posted a heartfelt message on social media following his exit from the North London club.

The 25-year-old was linked with a reunion with Mauricio Pochettino at Paris Saint-Germain before joining Everton, and L'Equipe claims that the Ligue 1 leaders were one of seven in the French top flight to have been offered his services.

The report adds that Lille, Marseille, Rennes, Lyon, Monaco and Nice also had the chance to take Alli off of Tottenham's hands before the midfielder ultimately chose to pen a two-and-a-half year deal with the Toffees.

Alli banked 67 goals and 61 assists in 269 appearances for Tottenham across all competitions but did not win a piece of silverware during his seven years in North London.
