Barcelona are reportedly monitoring Toby Alderweireld's contract situation at Tottenham Hotspur with a view to tabling an offer at the end of the campaign.
The 28-year-old is understood to be at loggerheads with Spurs regarding fresh terms, having allegedly demanded wages of £150,000 a week.
Alderweireld still has 16 months to run on his existing deal in North London, but he will be available for a cut-price sum of £25m at the end of next season.
With Tottenham said to be prepared to cash in during the summer transfer window, a number of teams - including domestic rivals Manchester United - have been tipped to make a move, while The Independent suggests that Barcelona are also keen.
