Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing Sporting Lisbon midfielder Joao Palhinha this summer.
The 26-year-old played a key role in his side's run to the Primeira Liga title last term, starting 28 top-flight matches and scoring a solitary goal.
Palhinha's performances did not go unnoticed by clubs across the continent, with Leicester City, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Atletico Madrid, Sevilla and Napoli all reported to hold an interest in the midfielder.
However, Football Insider claims that Tottenham have now registered their interest in Palhinha, whom Nuno Espirito Santo is a keen admirer of.
Palhinha only extended his Sporting Lisbon deal until 2025 last summer, but the report adds that a bid of £14m could tempt the Portuguese champions into a sale.
The former Braga man has featured 58 times in all competitions for Sporting in two separate spells at the club, and he has also won six caps for Portugal, two of which came at Euro 2020.
