Marseille manager Andre Villas-Boas has acknowledged that Morgan Sanson could move to the Premier League during the January transfer window.
Aston Villa, West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur have all been linked with an approach for the midfielder in recent weeks.
While Villas-Boas has insisted that no official bids have been made for the 26-year-old, he suggested that one of his key players could exit the French giants over the coming weeks.
Speaking to reporters at a press conference, the Portuguese said: "We'll see. The transfer window is open, Sanson is a player who is highly rated. Officially, we have not received any offers.
"He is a boy who interests English teams because of his characteristics, and it is possible that something could happen."
Sanson, who is valued in the region of £20m, has made 19 appearances for Marseille in all competitions this season.
