Stoke City's board and manager Mark Hughes will reportedly meet this week to discuss the future of Peter Crouch and Glenn Whelan.
Both Crouch and Whelan are out of contract in the summer, and reports suggest that talks with the pair have hit problems with the transfer window just around the corner.
The board has said that neither player has yet been offered a contract but will decide if they are going to do so at the meeting, according to The Sentinel.
Whelan has been linked with a move to Sunderland, Swansea City and Crystal Palace, while Crouch is continually linked with Harry Redknapp at Queens Park Rangers.
The board will reportedly seek the opinion of Hughes on the matter and will outline any transfer targets for next month, with the club linked to Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Mousa Dembele.
Stoke next face Chelsea on Monday night at the Britannia Stadium.
