James McClean: 'My future is with Sunderland'

James McClean reveals that he is keen to spend the next few years playing for Sunderland.

James McClean has revealed that he sees himself playing for Sunderland for years to come.

The Irish winger committed his future to the Black Cats last week by signing a fresh deal until 2015.

Having made an impressive start to life at the Stadium of Light, McClean is hoping to continue to his improvement over the coming months.

"I'm over the moon and I have worked hard," he told the club's official website. "It was great that the club offered me a new contract and I was delighted to sign it; I see my future here.

"A lot of things have happened over the past few months but I am just enjoying my football.

"Hopefully the next few months will have even better things in store."

McClean has scored five goals this season.
