Walsall striker Amadou Bakayoko has admitted that he is looking forward to proving himself during a loan spell with Southport.
Bakayogo has moved to the Conference Premier outfit on a month-long loan deal, and he has revealed that he intends to return to the Saddlers ready to make a stronger claim for the senior team.
The 18-year-old told the club's official website: "I just want to play games, so I can't wait to get stuck in and show what I can do. It's about going there, getting time on the pitch and scoring a few goals.
"I've enjoyed being part of the first-team group here and my aim is to come back ready to push on."
Bakayogo has featured off the bench three times for Walsall during the current campaign.
