Ricardo Vaz Te targeting top-half finish

Ricardo Vaz Te believes that West Ham United should be aiming to finish in the top 10 of the Premier League.

West Ham United attacker Ricardo Vaz Te has said that the club should be aiming to finish in the top 10 of the Premier League.

The Portuguese winger, who replaced Joe Cole after 11 minutes of West Ham's 1-0 victory at Stoke City on Saturday, believes that Sam Allardyce's side must set their sights on a top-half finish.

"I remember in pre-season I said that the club should aim for the top 10 in the Premier League this season because of the magnitude of this club," Clubcall.com quotes Vaz Te as saying.

"That is my confidence and belief. We are a top 10 team, so I hope everyone else is on board and shares my belief.

"With me on the team I will try my best to make sure that is where we finish."

West Ham are currently 12th in the Premier League.
