Andy Carroll starts for West Ham after signing on a season-long loan, while Dimitar Berbatov starts on the bench for Fulham.

Andy Carroll will go straight into the West Ham United first team against Fulham, after signing on a season-long loan from Liverpool.

However, Dimitar Berbatov will start on the bench for Fulham after he joined from Manchester United on deadline day.

Martin Jol has gone with Hugo Rodallega and Mladen Petric as his front two, with Kieran Richardson making his debut after signing from Sunderland.

Ricardo Vaz Te has been selected by Sam Allardyce to play in behind Andy Carroll.

Kevin Nolan and Mark Noble will start in midfield, facing Steve Sidwell and Mahamadou Diarra in the Cottagers' central midfield lineup.
