Ivica Olic believes that Wolfsburg can improve on their 11th-place finish in the Bundesliga last season.

Wolfsburg striker Ivica Olic has targeted a stronger season for the club in 2013-14 following their modest 11th-place finish in the Bundesliga last campaign.

Die Wolfe appointed Dieter Hecking as coach after some early struggles in the league, and Olic said that with a full season and a little luck, the club's fortunes should improve.

"We've learned from last season," he told Bundesliga.com. "We will take each game as it comes. We all agree on that.

"At the time, we made a big step forwards. We went 10 games unbeaten. That doesn't happen to many teams, which means we have the quality.

"We have to be consistent and build on this potential. We were unlucky to draw so many games. If we win those sort of games in the future, then I have no reason to worry."

Olic scored nine league goals in 32 appearances last season following his switch from Bayern Munich.
