Bakary Sako has been linked with a return to Wolverhampton Wanderers, one year after he left the Championship side for Crystal Palace.
The 28-year-old attacking midfielder helped Wolves to the League One title in 2013-14 and was a key part of the squad that missed out on the Championship playoffs by a whisker the following season.
Sako departed for Premier League Palace last summer on a free but injury limited him to just 20 appearances in his debut campaign, with his two goals coming in his first two appearances.
The arrival of Andros Townsend at Selhurst Park is likely to further limit his game time this season and, according to media reports overnight, Sako is now "in talks" about a return to Molineux this month.
Wolves have new owners in the form of Chinese conglomerate Fosun International and are prepared to spend big this transfer window in order to return the club to the top flight at the next opportunity.
