Zenit St Petersburg midfielder Axel Witsel could be on his way to Turin as a replacement for Paul Pogba if Juventus decide to cash in on the midfielder this summer, according to reports.
Pogba has been linked with a big-money move to one of Europe's biggest sides, and Witsel has admitted that he would be happy to try to fill the former Manchester United man's boots should an offer to join the Italian side materialise.
"Joining Juventus next summer? We'll have to wait until the summer transfer market, then we'll see. My youth idol was Zinedine Zidane, and I admire Andrea Pirlo a lot - he's one of the best players in the world," Witsel told Voetbalkrant.com.
Witsel, 26, joined Zenit from Benfica for £32.5m in 2012, and has made 65 appearances for the Russian side, scoring 11 goals.
