American number one Mardy Fish made light work of defeating Florian Mayer during their round two meeting at the Paris Masters this evening.
The 29-year-old secured his passage into the next round with a 6-1 6-2 victory in just 50 minutes.
The win all but guarantees the world number eight's participation at the ATP World Tour Finals in London later this month.
Fish will take on either Juan Monaco or Gilles Simon in the next round tomorrow.
