Marc Overmars's Arsenal career got off to a relatively slow start, but by the end of his first season he had already left his mark on the club.
The pacy winger joined from Ajax in 1997 and went on to score the winning goal against chief rivals Manchester United to help Arsenal to the Premier League title in 1998, before opening the scoring in that year's FA Cup final as the Gunners won just their second ever league and cup double.
Overmars featured heavily in the following two campaigns as well before leaving for Barcelona in 2000 in a deal worth £25m - making him the most expensive Dutch footballer ever at the time.
In all, Overmars scored 40 goals in 141 appearances for Arsenal, including 25 in exactly 100 Premier League outings.
