Former Liverpool midfielder Dietmar Hamann has backed Arsenal to overcome London rivals Chelsea in today's Community Shield encounter at Wembley.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has never defeated a team managed by Jose Mourinho, while Arsenal's last win over their neighbours was back in 2011.

However, despite those negative statistics, Hamann has hinted that Arsenal are likely to take the match more seriously.

"I [think] Arsenal [will win] as they may take it a bit more serious. Wenger's record vs. Mourinho not too inspiring though," the German tweeted.
