Manuel Pellegrini pleased with Arsenal point

Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini believes that this evening's 1-1 draw with Arsenal represents a good point for his team.

City followed up their 3-0 thrashing of Manchester United at Old Trafford on Tuesday with a stalemate at the Emirates Stadium this evening.

The Sky Blues had a first-half lead through David Silva before Mathieu Flamini leveled matters in the second half, but the Chilean is satisfied with his team's last two outings.

"I don't know if the word is disappointed. This week we have played away at Manchester United and Arsenal and we have four points from six," he told reporters.

"In the first half we played very good but only scored one goal. In the second half, when they scored, they grew because they were at their home ground but, before they scored, we had a clear chance to make it 2-0.

"All of us want to win all our games but Arsenal are a very good team here and they are also fighting for the title."

Consequently, Pellegrini's troops move to within two points of Chelsea with two games in hand after the Blues slumped to a 1-0 defeat to Crystal Palace earlier today.
