Theo Walcott has attributed Arsenal's storming victory over Manchester United to the work of Arsene Wenger.
The Frenchman has seen his job called into question by certain sections of the Gunners' fan base of late following a run of three defeats in five games.
A 3-0 win over arch-rivals United at the Emirates Stadium lifts Arsenal into second place in the Premier League table, however, with Walcott claiming that his side produced the best football he has witnessed during his decade in North London.
"There was a desire from kickoff," he told Sky Sports News. "We looked very strong and were dominant at home against a big team and we should be playing like that every week. The players will be aching after that one, we worked so hard and rightly so.
"That was all for the manager. That first half we were unbelievable - no-one could have dealt with us. It was the best football I have ever been involved in - the Arsenal of old."
Walcott failed to find the net for Arsenal, but he provided assists for two of the three first-half goals.
