Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Porto striker Pepe.
While his namesake Nicolas Pepe is set to depart the Gunners in the current transfer window, the 25-year-old is believed to be a target for Arsenal.
The Brazilian impressed for his side last season after signing for the Portuguese giants from Gremio, helping his side win the Primeira Liga title and the Taca de Portugal.
Pepe scored six goals and contributed six assists in 42 appearances for Porto last season, and his performances seem to have caught the attention of Arsenal.
According to The Sun, the Gunners had an approach rebuffed earlier in the summer, but are still considering a move for the Brazilian.
When agreeing to sign his former Porto teammate Fabio Vieira, Arsenal discussed a deal for Pepe, although a bid of £25.3m was rejected.
The Portuguese champions are believed to be holding out for a fee in the region of £60m which would trigger Pepe's release clause.
Although Arsenal have not returned with an increased offer, they are still monitoring the player and could make another move next summer.
