Ron Vlaar hails "massive" Aston Villa win

Aston Villa defender Ron Vlaar describes the 4-1 win over Norwich City this afternoon as "massive".

Aston Villa defender Ron Vlaar has hailed the 4-1 win over Norwich City this afternoon as "massive".

The Villans hit four first-half goals to move 11th in the Premier League table, seven points clear of the relegation zone.

Vlaar told reporters: "We didn't score many goals in the last few games but today it all felt right for us and we really needed this for ourselves and for everybody who loves Aston Villa.

"We were struggling a little bit but this was a massive win for us."

Wes Hoolahan fired Norwich ahead after just four minutes before Christian Benteke responded with a quickfire brace.

Leandro Bacuna and a Sebastien Bassong own goal later in the half sealed an emphatic win for Paul Lambert's men.
