West Bromwich Albion have reportedly turned down an approach from Aston Villa for defender Joleon Lescott.
Tim Sherwood's club have been active in the transfer window in recent weeks, having signed Jordan Ayew from Lorient.
Deals for Emmanuel Adebayor, Rudy Gestede and Jordan Veretout are believed to be on the verge of completion, and Lescott appears to be on Sherwood's wanted list.
However, according to Sky Sports News, the Baggies are keen to keep hold of Lescott and have rejected Villa's approach to speak to the defender.
The 32-year-old is entering the final year of his two-year contract at The Hawthorns.
