Valencia striker Aritz Aduriz has said that the club must secure all three points on the road at Atletico Madrid tonight.
The former Mallorca man, who scored each of Valencia's goals in their 2-2 tie at Racing Santander last weekend, is eager to bounce back with a win at the Vicente Calderon against Diego Simeone's side.
"We need the three points," he said. "It is going to be a very difficult game, looking at the magnificent results that have come their way since Diego Simeone took charge.
"They are one of our direct rivals, so the visit to the Calderón will be a nice spectacle but a difficult match.
"We just want to get back to winning ways and continue as high up the table as possible. We had a considerable advantage a month ago that has been reduced. We need to pick up our pace."
Los Che will be aiming to move within six points of second-place Barcelona with a win on the road tonight.
