Luis Enrique "very pleased" by Barcelona display

Luis Enrique praises his Barcelona players for the way they recovered from a "strange situation" early on against Atletico Madrid last night.

Barcelona boss Luis Enrique has declared himself "happy" with his side's performance during last night's Copa del Rey quarter-final victory against Atletico Madrid.

The Catalan giants recovered from an early setback when Fernando Torres opened the scoring inside a minute, going on to record a 3-2 victory on the night to sail through to the final four of the competition.

It has been a mixed season for the club thus far, both on and off the field, although with less than half of the campaign left to play Barca remain in contention for a showpiece treble.

"I was happy with my whole team, even with the way they recovered from such a strange situation in the first minute," Enrique told the La Liga outfit's official website. "Despite all the difficulties of playing here, we managed to find spaces. I am very pleased with their display against a top level team.

"There are good and bad moments over the course of a season. This is a very good one. We are confident and getting results. All positive results are a boost for our confidence."

Barcelona will take on either Villarreal or Getafe in the next round.
