Barcelona striker David Villa has been discharged from hospital following treatment on his kidney stones.
The Spanish international was admitted yesterday afternoon and has now been allowed to go home to continue his recovery.
"Villa was taken into Barcelona hospital on Monday due to a nephritic (renal) colic. The player has undergone treatment to eliminate the kidney stone and has received the all clear to leave hospital," said a statement on the club's official website.
Despite his release, Villa is expected to miss Saturday's match against Granada.
