Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich have elected Karl Hopfner to replace Uli Hoeness as the club's new president.
Hopfner was elected to the position with a majority vote of 99.6% at a general meeting in Munich on Friday night, with the 61-year-old moving from his previous position of vice president at the club.
Hoeness resigned in March after he was sentenced to three-and-a-half years' imprisonment due to tax evasion.
Munich were knocked out of the Champions League by Real Madrid at the semi-final stage earlier this week.
