Brighton & Hove Albion have bolstered their midfield ranks with the late loan addition of Rajiv van La Parra from Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The 24-year-old has made seven appearances for Wolves this season, the last of which came in a 3-1 home defeat to Middlesbrough in October.
A lack of playing time saw the former Netherlands Under-21s international seeking a temporary move away, but a deal to join Bolton Wanderers fell through at the last minute earlier this month.
Championship promotion contenders Brighton have moved to bring Van La Parra in until January 2, though, as they look to provide some cover for the injured Sam Baldock.
"With Baldock currently injured and Kazenga LuaLua having missed the amount of games he has, we have been very keen to bring in offensive options," Albion boss Chris Hughton told the club's official website.
"In Rajiv we have a player who was a regularly featured in Wolves' promotion chase last season. He will give us pace and creativity in the forward areas, and supplements our existing wide options. He is something different to the players we already have here, and I am delighted to have him on board."
Van La Parra will not be eligible to feature against his parent club on New Year's Day.
