Frank Lampard has said that tension between Liverpool and Chelsea has increased throughout the last few seasons.
The Blues midfielder, who is expected to start when the sides meet in the FA Cup final this afternoon, suggests that facing the same opposition on such a regular basis is bound to add an extra twist to the clash.
"It has definitely escalated through the Champions League years," he told the club's offical site.
"The players get used to that battle against the same group of opposition players. It adds a bit more to it.
"To win the FA Cup will be tough, but I'm determined to do it and keep our form going. It would be amazing."
Chelsea and Liverpool have faced each other on 30 occasions since 2004.
