Chelsea interim manager Rafael Benitez has claimed that his side should have 'killed off' Tottenham Hotspur during Wednesday's 2-2 draw in the Premier League.
The Blues led twice at Stamford Bridge before Gylfi Sigurdsson scored 10 minutes from time to earn the visitors a share of the spoils and keep the race for Champions League football alive.
"We had the chance today," Benitez told Sky Sports News. "Twice we had the advantage and we could have killed the game. We didn't do it and then we gave the ball away and Tottenham were pushing.
"At the end we were a little but leggy, but that's normal. We were too open, and they were pushing and attacking, and our final pass was a problem."
Third-placed Chelsea resume their campaign on Saturday when they make the trip to Aston Villa.
