Andre Schurrle targets silverware at Chelsea

Chelsea's versatile German playmaker Andre Schurrle targets silverware this coming season.

Chelsea's Andre Schurrle has set his sights on winning some silverware for the coming season.

The Blues finished third in the Premier League last season and were knocked out of the Champions League at the semi-final stage by Atletico Madrid after FA Cup and League Cup exits to Manchester City and Sunderland, respectively.

Schurrle, who won the World Cup with Germany last month, is looking to add to his medal collection with his club side in the new campaign.

He told Chelsea's official website: "I'm hoping to achieve what we couldn't last season, which is to win something.

"That's what it's all about, winning matches and winning trophies. We have the squad, we have the players and now we just need to work hard."

Schurrle signed from Bayer Leverkusen last summer for around £18m.
