Atletico Madrid begin talks with Chelsea to re-sign Filipe Luis?

Atletico Madrid begin talks with Chelsea over re-signing left-back Filipe Luis, according to a report.

Atletico Madrid have reportedly opened talks with Chelsea over re-signing Filipe Luis, less than a year after he left them.

The Brazil international moved to Stamford Bridge from the La Liga side for £16m during the summer, after he played a major role in Atletico's title success last season.

However, the 29-year-old has struggled to establish himself as the first-choice left-back under Jose Mourinho due to the form of Cesar Azpilicueta.

Atletico believe that they have a chance of buying Luis and are looking to get him back for less than the £16m that Chelsea paid, according to the London Evening Standard.

Luis, who is contracted to Chelsea until 2017, has made just 18 starts in all competitions for the Blues this season.
