Crystal Palace have failed in their appeal against the red card that Yannick Bolasie was given during the weekend's 1-0 victory at Hull City.
The midfielder was handed his marching orders for a challenge that he committed on Jake Livermore in the 78th minute at the KC Stadium.
Having reviewed the video evidence over the weekend, Palace decided to challenge the verdict, with interim manager Keith Millen having said: "He actually slips into the challenge and then catches the lad, for me, it's a yellow card at best."
However, the FA have insisted that Bolasie's offence was deserving of a straight red card and as a result he will be suspended for his side's next three matches.
