Elche have been cleared to play in the Segunda Division this season after settling a tax debt.
Los Franjiverdes had finished 13th in the La Liga table last term, but they were relegated from the top flight for breaching league rules over unpaid debts to the tax authorities.
They were facing the possibility of being further relegated to Segunda Division B, but a €2.9m (£2m) cash payment to the country's tax authorities has been paid.
A further €1m (£700,000) that was owed to their players has been written off following an agreement with the Spanish Footballers' Association, while they will also have to make an income tax payment of around €3m (£2.1m) in September.
