Sokratis Papastathopoulos believes that Greece are capable of progressing through to the quarter-finals of Euro 2012.
Only a win against Russia this evening will do if the Greeks are to have any chance of moving into the final eight.
Having won the tournament in 2004, centre-back Papastathopoulos has insisted that his nation often emerge victorious from the bigger matches.
"We tend to prevail in the key matches, so that is what we all hope happens," he told reporters.
"What's important to concentrate on is that we need just one win to make it through."
Papastathopoulos will return to the Greece squad tonight having missed the 2-1 loss to the Czech Republic through suspension.
