Hull City defender Curtis Davies believes that his side are moving in the "right direction" despite suffering their second defeat of the season to Manchester City.
The Tigers fell to a 2-0 loss at the Etihad Stadium as strikes from Alvaro Negredo and Yaya Toure secured the win for Manuel Pellegrini's side.
Davies told the club's official website: "After going behind, we didn't wilt and we made a good fist of trying to get back into it. The second goal at the end was a bit of a sucker punch to take.
"To come away disappointed is a positive because it shows we're moving in the right direction."
Hull have taken three points from their opening three Premier League fixtures this season.
