Striker Daniel Sturridge has declared himself "fit and ready to go" as Liverpool prepare for Saturday's clash away at Premier League leaders Manchester City.
The 26-year-old has not yet played under manager Jurgen Klopp after missing the past six weeks with a knee injury.
He is reported to have returned to full training this week, and Sturridge says that it is "exciting" to work under the German as he gets ready to face the Sky Blues.
"I'm fit and ready to go. It's going to be a great time for me," the England international is quoted as saying by Goal.com.
"It's been exciting under the new manager. He's been really good. I've been back training now for the past couple of days and I was training under him when he first arrived.
"It's an exciting time to be at the club and I'm enjoying working with him and his style of football. It's important for us to understand what he wants us to do."
Sturridge has netted twice in three Premier League starts this season.
