Lee Clark "excited" about Jordan Ibe impact

Birmingham City boss Lee Clark says that loan signing Jordan Ibe could be crucial to their hopes of pulling away from the Championship relegation zone.

Birmingham City boss Lee Clark believes that Jordan Ibe is a "real asset" for his side, and claims that he is "excited" to see what the Liverpool loanee can do at the club.

Ibe, who joined from the Reds on Friday, came on as a substitute in the 2-1 win against Blackpool in the Championship.

"I am so excited by Jordan and what he now gives us. We saw glimpses of his skill in his first training session with us and he showed a bit more in the game," Clark is quoted as saying by the Daily Star.

"He seems so confident in his own ability. He has great power and pace. He is a real asset. We have done unbelievably well to get him."

Birmingham are 16th in the league table.
