Brad Jones has claimed that Gary Neville has no right to criticise fellow Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet.
The Sky Sports pundit and former Manchester United right-back offered a damning analysis of the Belgian's performance in the Reds' 1-1 draw with Everton last month.
"I've never seen Gary Neville play in goal but he seemed to have a good opinion of it," Jones told the Liverpool Echo.
"Everyone has an opinion. What we work on in training is very match-specific and match-related. It's just one of those things and there are too many opinions knocking about nowadays."
Mignolet's long-term future as Liverpool's number one is reportedly in doubt as manager Brendan Rodgers is said to be keen on signing free agent Victor Valdes.
Twenty-six-year-old Mignolet has registered just one clean sheet from 10 games this season.
