Liverpool have reportedly approached Swansea City for permission to talk to Brendan Rodgers over the vacant manager's job at Anfield.

They are now waiting to hear back from the Welsh club to see if they have been granted permission to hold talks, according to the Liverpool Echo.
Wigan Athletic chairman Dave Whelan revealed on Thursday that he will allow Roberto Martinez to open discussions with the Merseysiders over the position.
