Luis Suarez: 'This is my best season yet'

Liverpool striker Luis Suarez claims that he is enjoying his best season yet as a professional footballer.

Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has claimed that he is enjoying his best season yet as a professional footballer.

Despite missing the opening five games of the campaign through suspension, the Uruguayan has scored 24 goals in 27 appearances for the Merseysiders.

Suarez now hopes that he can continue his form until the end of the season and through to this summer's World Cup in Brazil.

"This is my best season yet. I feel in a very good place, physically and mentally. Every day, I feel better in this club," he told FourFourTwo.

"I hope to continue down this path because we want Champions League football for Liverpool and, personally speaking, I want to continue that mentality throughout the World Cup with Uruguay."

Suarez ended a run of five games without a goal last weekend when he found the net during Liverpool's 3-0 win at Southampton in the Premier League.
