Liverpool defender Kolo Toure has warned his side that their good start to the new Premier League season will count for nothing when they face Swansea City on Monday.
The Reds have won all three of their opening league games without conceding a goal and would move back to the summit of the table if they avoid defeat at the Liberty Stadium tomorrow.
"A great start is very important, definitely, but it is better to take it game-by-game. We've been playing every game like a cup final and we want to win games - when we go out, it doesn't matter where we're going to play or against who we're going to play, we will give 100% and try to win," Toure told the club's official website.
"What we've done so far is finished now - we've won three games, but that is finished. It is the next step that is the most important, and that is going to be Swansea. We will put everything in to try and win this game because the past is done. It's finished.
"Team spirit is high, everyone is working really hard, giving 100%, the manager is doing a great job and we are really happy. We hope that we carry on doing that and work harder. There is a really important game coming up against Swansea. It's going to be tough because they are a good side and in the Premier League there are no easy games - every game is very, very difficult, especially the one coming up."
Liverpool go into tomorrow's match as the only team in the Premier League with a 100% record, while Merseyside rivals Everton are the only other side to still be unbeaten.
