Liverpool 'lining up £46m Eduardo Camavinga approach'

Liverpool line up a £46m move for Rennes midfielder Eduardo Camavinga, according to a report.

Liverpool are reportedly lining up a €50m (£46m) move for Rennes midfielder Eduardo Camavinga.

Despite only turning 17 in November, the Frenchman has made 36 appearances for his Ligue 1 side during the 2019-20 campaign, allegedly sparking a host of interest in his services.

Real Madrid, Barcelona and Tottenham Hotspur have both previously been credited with an interest, but according to Sport, Liverpool are also in the race for the teenager's signature.

The report claims that Rennes value Camavinga in the region of €50m (£46m), which is a figure that Jurgen Klopp's side could meet in order to bring him to Anfield during this summer's transfer window.

The midfielder, who has already been capped at Under-21 level by France, has contributed one goal and two assists in 25 Ligue 1 appearances during the current season.

Camavinga's current deal at Roazhon Park will run until the end of the 2021-22 campaign.
