Liverpool have reportedly decided to delay the announcement of Fabio Carvalho's arrival while the winger is still embroiled in a Championship title fight with Fulham.
It has been reported that the 19-year-old has agreed to join the Reds on a five-year contract, with Liverpool paying an upfront fee of around £4.2m.
Although that deal still looks set to go through, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has suggested that Liverpool are holding off announcing their new signing in respect to Fulham, who are closing in on a return to the Premier League.
Marco Silva's side enjoy a 10-point cushion at the top of the Championship table, but with promotion not yet secured, Liverpool are unwilling to disrupt matters for the West London side.
Despite the delay, the deal has been completed and it is a matter of time before the youngster is unveiled as the latest addition to Jurgen Klopp's side.
Carvalho, who has scored seven league goals this season, was close to joining the Reds on deadline day in January, but the deal did not go through in time.
