Manchester City defender Eliaquim Mangala has admitted that he has so far failed to scale the heights expected of him following a £40m move from Porto last summer.
City made the Frenchman the world's most expensive defender but the 23-year-old - currently out with a groin injury - has struggled to live up to his billing thus far.
However, Mangala insists that he is still getting to grips with the Premier League following his big-money switch.
"I'm okay, fine," he told the Manchester Evening News.
"It could be better, it could be worse. It's my first season in the Premier League and you have to adapt to a new style of playing."
Mangala has started 13 of the Sky Blues' 22 Premier League outings so far this season.
