Report: 'European clubs monitor Abdisalam Ibrahim'

A report claims that a number of European clubs are preparing to move for Manchester City midfielder Abdisalam Ibrahim in the January transfer window.

A number of European clubs are reportedly preparing to move for Manchester City midfielder Abdisalam Ibrahim in the January transfer window.

The 22-year-old, who has been deemed surplus to requirements at the Premier League outfit, is currently on loan in Norway with Stromsgodset.

His performances have not gone unnoticed, with a number of scouts travelling to watch the powerful midfielder in recent weeks.

Ibrahim's loan spell in Norway comes to an end in December, however, and with his City contract expiring next summer, interest has gathered pace in recent weeks.

According to Sky Sports News, interest from the Premier League, La Liga and Ligue 1 is plentiful, with as many as 10 clubs actively pursuing his signature.

Ibrahim, who was born in Somalia, joined City in 2010.
