Manchester United winger Ashley Young has claimed that the team has what it takes to be successful in the Champions League this season.
The Red Devils suffered a 2-1 defeat to PSV Eindhoven in their first group stage game a fortnight ago, but have the opportunity to put points on the board when they host Wolfsburg at Old Trafford this evening.
Despite the defeat on matchday one, Young has said that United's style of play is more effective in European competition than in the Premier League.
"I think we're definitely suited to playing in the Champions League and I'm sure it will be a very successful campaign," he told United's official website.
"It's always nice to be in the Champions League, we fought hard to get back into it. This is what a club like United is all about, wanting to be in the biggest competitions and we're looking forward to the game on Wednesday.
"I think you want to go out to win in every game. We had a defeat which was disappointing but the way we've bounced back from that defeat since means we'll go into this game with confidence, especially at Old Trafford."
United beat Wolfsburg twice when the sides last met in the Champions League in the 2009-10 season.
