Bastian Schweinsteiger may miss Manchester United's trip to Everton

Bastian Schweinsteiger may miss Manchester United's upcoming game against Everton after suffering an injury in training with Germany.

Bastian Schweinsteiger is a doubt for Manchester United's game at Everton next week after picking up an injury while on international duty.

The midfielder sat out Germany's 1-0 loss to the Republic of Ireland and is also expected to miss their subsequent qualifier with Georgia on Sunday.

Schweinsteiger has made eight appearances for United since a summer switch from Bayern Munich as the Red Devils have manoeuvred themselves to third place in the Premier League table as things stand.

Wayne Rooney is also a doubt for the trip to Goodison Park after England confirmed that the forward will miss Friday's game against Estonia.
