Report: Manchester United to wait two years for Mats Hummels

A report claims that Manchester United will have to wait until at least 2016 if they want to sign Borussia Dortmund defender Mats Hummels.

Manchester United will reportedly have to wait until at least 2016 if they want to sign Borussia Dortmund centre-back Mats Hummels.

United were consistently linked with a move for the German international this summer, but Dortmund managed to repel the interest in their defender.

The Premier League outfit had been expected to return in 2015, but according to the Daily Star, Dortmund will not sell until 2016 due to the fact that Marco Reus is expected to be sold next summer.

Dortmund lost Robert Lewandowski on a free transfer to Bayern Munich this summer.
